Terms of Service

1. Agreement and operator

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Linkup Match, trading as Linkup Match (“Linkup,” “we,” or “us”). They apply to our websites, web app, and mobile apps. By creating an account or using Linkup, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines.

2. Eligibility and account promises

You may use Linkup only if you:

• are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms;
• are not prohibited by law from using the service;
• have not been permanently removed from Linkup unless we expressly allow your return; and
• provide accurate information and use only your own identity, age, and photos.

One person may operate one account. Keep your credentials private and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. What Linkup provides

Linkup helps adults discover profiles, request connections, and communicate after mutual acceptance. Recommendations are based on information such as age range, preferences, interests, and approximate location. A recommendation is not an endorsement, identity guarantee, background check, or statement that another person is safe or compatible.

4. Membership, renewal, and cancellation

Creating a profile and browsing is free. Sending or accepting connection requests and using private chat requires a paid plan. Current options may include weekly, monthly, quarterly, and six-month access. The exact price, duration, and renewal terms shown at checkout apply to your purchase.

• Recurring billing: when the checkout method supports recurring payments, your plan renews for the selected billing period using the approved payment method until cancelled.
• Authorization: by completing checkout, you authorize the payment provider to charge the displayed amount at each renewal.
• Cancellation: email support@linkupmatch.com before your next billing date. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• Other payment methods: payment methods that do not support recurring charges require manual renewal.
• Price changes: we will give reasonable advance notice before a new price applies to a later renewal. You may cancel before it takes effect.
• Refunds: completed membership charges are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where we confirm an incorrect or duplicate charge.

Deleting your Linkup account also triggers cancellation of recurring billing, but you should retain confirmation of any cancellation request.

5. Conduct and prohibited uses

You must follow our Community Guidelines. In particular, you may not:

• impersonate anyone, misstate your age, catfish, or use another person's or a synthetic person's images as your identity;
• harass, stalk, threaten, exploit, discriminate against, or coerce another person;
• send unwanted sexual content or share intimate content without every depicted person's consent;
• solicit money, run a romance scam, advertise, spam, or use Linkup for commercial sexual services or trafficking;
• collect, publish, or misuse another person's private information;
• upload illegal, infringing, malicious, or dangerous content; or
• scrape the service, bypass access controls, probe security, automate accounts, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, or interfere with normal operation.

6. Your content and privacy choices

You keep ownership of content you submit. You give Linkup a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, adapt for display, moderate, and show that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the Linkup service. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for safeguarded backups and material lawfully retained for safety, evidence, or compliance.

You confirm that you have the rights and consent needed to post your content. Do not post anyone else's image, private information, or conversation without permission.

7. Dating safety and user interactions

Linkup reviews profiles and provides block and report tools, but we do not conduct comprehensive criminal background checks and cannot guarantee a user's identity, statements, intentions, health, or conduct. You are responsible for your decisions and interactions, both online and offline.

Do not send money or financial credentials to another user. For a first meeting, consider a public place, independent transport, and telling someone you trust where you are. If there is immediate danger, leave the situation and contact local emergency services.

8. Reports, moderation, and appeals

We may review profiles, content, messages connected to a report, and account signals to investigate suspected violations. Depending on severity, evidence, risk, and history, we may limit features, remove content, warn, suspend, or permanently remove an account. We may preserve and disclose evidence where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect a person from serious harm.

To request review of an enforcement decision, email support@linkupmatch.com. We may decline repeat or abusive appeals.

9. Third-party services

Payment, hosting, app-store, notification, and other third-party services may have their own terms and privacy notices. Linkup is not responsible for a third party's independent service, content, or availability, but this does not limit rights you have against us under applicable law.

10. Account closure and survival

You may delete your account in settings. We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms, creates risk, or must be restricted by law. Provisions that logically continue after closure, including payment obligations already incurred, content ownership, retained safety records, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms, survive termination.

11. Service changes and availability

We may change, pause, or discontinue features and may perform maintenance. We will use reasonable care in operating Linkup but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access, that every profile is accurate, or that you will make a particular connection.

12. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Linkup is provided “as is” and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the service or interactions with users. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, or limits your mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.

13. Governing law and disputes

Nigerian law governs these Terms. Before starting formal proceedings, please send the details of your dispute to legal@linkupmatch.com so both sides can try to resolve it. Subject to any mandatory consumer forum, Nigerian courts have jurisdiction. You may also use rights and complaint channels available through consumer, data-protection, or other competent regulators.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the service or law changes. We will post the revised date and provide reasonable notice of material changes. If a change requires fresh consent, we will ask for it. Otherwise, continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
